Fat Ain’t Nothing to Fear but Fatphobia Is

“I think oftentimes the moment people hear the term fat, there’s a shrinking back about the term and that’s because of the connotation that the term holds. So, when we talk about fat liberation, and we talk about fat acceptance, everybody tends to jump to this idea that we are glorifying, quote, unquote, obesity.” If anything, fat acceptance promotes the safety, livelihood and physical health of fat folks.
